ABOUT ME
I am a Historian and Educator. As a teacher I base my educational philosophy on a quote by Jane Austin- "Teach us, that we may feel the importance of every day, of every hour, as it passes." I believe that learning must be relevant to the students. As an educator, it is my job to create an environment of learning. Students who understand the importance of what they are learning will strive to find a way to not only learn the material, but to embrace the material and use it in their daily lives. 21st Century Skills are crucial to our student’s success in life. My students collaborate, utilize reflective dialogue, analyze primary source documents, and create projects and portfolios, just to name a few.
